Medium: Watercolor Painting
I paint primarily wet-in-wet, as I love the look of transparent watercolor. I do my own matting and framing, but also mount some of my paintings on birch panels (no mats or frame). I now coat all my paintings with an archival polymer varnish (three coats) which contains specific UV stabilizing and blocking agents. Thus, they do not require glass to prevent fading. The result is more vibrant colors and zero glass-induced reflection! The weight is also reduced considerably.
