Medium: Painting

My first artistic memories are of my mother and me painting the paint-by-number ballerinas, sharing the little pots of paint while enjoying the companionship of each other. Then there were the family fishing trips to the Snake River where I sat in the shade and sketched while everyone else fished and sunburned. As time passed work, children and aging parents took center stage and art was relegated to the back burner. Retirement gave me the time, means and renewed interest in all things art. Today I am all about acrylics, oils and pastels; painting my favorite subjects, birds, flowers and wildlife. I am currently branching out to portraits of my family members. All these are abundant in the amazing area where I live; the hills above Mosier, Oregon.

Directions: Exit 69 off of I-84 (Mosier). Continue on Hwy 30 and turn right on Washington Street and left on 3rd. Turn right on Huskey Road and right on Ponderosa Place. 351 Ponderosa Place is on the southeast corner of the cul-de-sac next to 361 Ponderosa Place (Myrna Anderson’s studio); park in the cul-de-sac.
