We heart art too. is a study in devotion. The Gorge Artists Open Studios tour brings to life the connection between the artist, the landscape, and the art lover. This May, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of this beloved spring tradition!

From rugged metalwork and delicate ceramics to vibrant oil paintings and intricate jewelry — come see where art is made!

Prepare for a wonderful spring tour
May 1, 2 & 3, 2026

Winter might mean hibernation for many creatures, but not the studio artist. We are busy in our “lairs”, preparing for the spring awakening — beyond wildflowers, orchards in bloom, and longer days — we are awaiting that weekend when people to come explore our studios, see our craft, and experience art first hand!

The Gorge Artists Open Studios tour is an annual free self-guided event that has become a spring tradition. This year, 42 studios will be open to the public for the 20th anniversary of this beloved art tour weekend. There are nine new artists, including Kim Thompson — who is the recipient of the first ever Gorge Artists Emerging Artist Scholarship!

Kim Thompson is a metalsmith in Bingen, WA. She creates rustic, substantial, heirloom quality jewelry. Congratulations Kim!

Gorge Artists looks forward to offering this scholarship annually to an artist at the start of their art career. Artists apply during the call for artists, which happens each autumn. If you are a working artist in the Gorge, sign up for our artist’s newsletter to stay in the know!

If you are a working artist in the Gorge (in Hood River, Wasco, Klickitat, or Skamania county) and are looking for a way to attract art lovers to your studio, educate the public on your craft, be a part of a vibrant artist community, plus showcase and sell your work — then look no further! Apply to be an artist on the 20th annual Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour!

And speaking of — this 20th anniversary of the tour will be special, with more hype and extra promotion…

Please note: only applications submitted on or before the October 15 deadline will be considered, the tour will be capped at 40 studios and/or 45 artists, and an outside juror will jury in all participating artists. These changes are to increase the value of the tour for both the tour goers and the artists chosen.
