I am the creative force behind C.M. Hardwear, hand forging unique jewelry pieces in Hood River. I work primarily in sterling silver, copper, and gold, specializing in mixed metal compositions. I love to showcase rich textures and carefully applied patinas, with a particular love for Hido patina on copper.

My distinctive style celebrates the raw beauty of textured, patinated metals. I love to incorporate turquoise and variscite that capture the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. My new works feature beautiful Oregon Sunstone flush set into my pieces. I add touches of sparkle through flush-set stones, balancing rustic metalwork with refined finishing details.

In 2024, I became co-owner of The Rabbit Hole Jewelry, where I share my passion for metalsmithing through hands-on workshops. Visitors to my studio during the Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour can witness the complete jewelry-making process and discover how traditional techniques create thoroughly modern, wearable art.

Collaborating with Robyn Johnsen has been rewarding, as we share a creative vision, pushing each other to craft unique, timeless jewelry.
