Medium: Basketry

I started weaving in 2011 as a way to slow down—and I fell in love with it instantly. In 2019, I created Twisted Fibers Basketry to share that joy with others through teaching.

I work mostly with reed and cane from Calamus rotang, a tropical vine harvested in Asia. My baskets are usually functional and beautiful, though I occasionally explore more artistic designs.

I weave to connect, not to sell—and 2026 will be my third year on the tour, sharing this craft with curious hands and open hearts.

Directions: From I-84, take exit 87 to US-197/US-30 W in The Dalles. Continue on US-197 south to Fremont Street up to Old Dufur Road. Turn right into 2911 Old Dufur Road and park in the parking spots by the studio, left side of the garage.
