Medium: Pastel Painting

Working primarily with soft pastel, I seek to evoke my passion for the landscapes I live in. I love color, and pastel affords me the opportunity to create subtle color variations as well as powerful contrasts. Sometimes I add texture to create depth and sumi ink for strong detail. My intent is to be abstract, to be more about emotion than reality. But there are always landscape elements in every piece.

I am a founding member of 301 gallery and a signature member of the Northwest Pastel Society.

Directions. From exit 62, turn north toward the Columbia River, then east on Westcliff Drive. Turn left into fourth driveway (opposite tall Ponderosa Pine) then turn right along the pond to the studio. If driveway is full please park on north side of Westcliff Drive.
