Medium: Sculpture

I live in the lush, agricultural valley of Mt. Hood, Oregon where I work out of my studio creating metal art for home, garden or business. Being environmentally conscience, I create many of my pieces from recycled materials.

After 13 years sitting in a cube in the corporate world, I longed for another kind of life, one of being outdoors, working with my hands and using my creative energy. I became interested in metal through a good friend and became a self-taught metal artist in 2002.

Before I started working with metal, I tried other venues such as landscaping and woodworking but settled on metal work because I like the undisciplined nature of the art and being able to use the imagination creating whatever the metal calls for. It can be rusty, loose, and forgiving. Customers have overwhelmingly responded favorably to my design and style, which has given me the momentum to pursue this craft, learning all the while and loving life.

Directions: Off of I-84 east, take exit 64 (downtown business). Take a right turn off the off ramp. Turn left on Oak Street at the first stop light. My shop is on Oak Street across the street from Ground Coffee, behind Doug’s Sports, and next to SOL E-bikes.

I am in a garage in the parking lot across the street from Ground. I have my name on my door and a huge metal sun hung above my garage door. You will have to park on the street (Oak Street or State Street).
