Medium: Painting, Inkmaking

I am an artist fascinated by the process of making inks from materials I forage around my home in the Columbia River Gorge. My work explores the interconnectedness of nature through color extracted from plants and minerals. Using natural materials creates a unique alchemy, inviting a different approach to mixing and layering than traditional paints.

I work simply, allowing the material to lead and drawing attention to subtle layers, transparency, and the negative spaces that emerge between them. The resulting gestural marks reflect a collaboration between the natural world and my own hand.

Directions: Take I-84 to exit 64 toward White Salmon. Cross over the Hood River Bridge, turn left on SR-14, turn right on Cook-Underwood road, turn left on Treiber Road. Park in marked areas.

From Jewett Blvd , head east and follow as it turns to oak in Bingen, turn on SR -14, turn right on Cook-Underwood road, first left on Treiber, park in designated spaces.

From Hwy 141, take Hwy 14 Alternate down to Hwy 14, turn right on Cook-Underwood Road, first left on Treiber, park in designated spaces.
